In winter, the use time of Bluetooth hearing aids becomes shorter, and sometimes there is no sound suddenly. Why is this?

There are many reasons why cost-effective hearing aids suddenly lose sound:

(1) Shortened battery life. During the transportation, use and storage of hearing aids, the ambient temperature may be too low, the air may be too humid, etc., which shortens the service life of otc hearing aids.

At this time, you need to replace the new battery. After tearing off the seal of the new battery, it is recommended to wait for 3 minutes, or rub the battery with your hands to increase the battery temperature and promote the battery to undergo oxidation reaction faster and more fully.

(2) The sound guide tube is blocked

In winter, the temperature difference is large, and hot air will enter the receiver through the earplug hole and condense inside, forming condensation water, blocking the sound outlet and even causing the chip to be damp, resulting in a smaller sound or even no sound. If there are water droplets, they should be shaken or wiped clean in time, and then placed in a drying box to dry. Because there are components inside the self-fitting hearing aid, try not to use baking or blow-drying methods.

(3) Static electricity in winter

The body's own static electricity is transmitted to the hearing aid, causing the over-the-counter hearing aid to short-circuit and shut down. You can wear cotton underwear, wash your hands before going out, maintain a certain humidity in the house, touch the wall, etc.

(4) The rechargeable microphone is blocked

The microphone protective cover is blocked by earwax, etc., which can be cleaned with a cleaning tool. Clean the external auditory canal regularly, wait until the ear canal is dry after taking a shower, and then wear the self-fitting hearing aid.
